Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo...

Song: "Moving in Stereo" by The Cars

March 15th

My first plan for today was to sleep as long as I could after being exhausted from Sound Relief the day before. I didn't sleep as long as I thought I would. There was this youth travel festival that I knew was going on in Sydney and I had been planning on going, and since I got up in time, I decided to attend. I made my way into the city to Milson's Point and then to Luna Park where the event was held. They have lots of cool stuff there.

The travel festival itself was pretty neat and I learned a lot about cool ways to get around and see things. I joined YHA, the Youth Hostel Association, and heard all about the cool things I need to do around Australia.

I like parks like this, and next time I go, I want to ride rides and stuff. I did take pictures in the cool mirrors though:

I also bought a book about the physics of the rides at Luna Park because I am a nerd and it rather inexpensive. I heard during the festival that there was a St. Patrick's Day festival down in Hyde Park across town. I was wearing green already so I decided to trek over there. It was about a 4km walk, but it was worth it. I got it in my brain that I was going to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, so I did. The walk took me about 20 minutes.

The walk itself was through an area near The Rocks and was very interesting.

I got to Hyde Park and found the entire Irish community of the Sydney area celebrating in drunken revelry. They were fun.

This was my favorite picture of the day, and possibly the week:

I eventually had to get back to work on my lab report. When I did, we were hiding Cam out in our apartment so he wouldn't have to get his head shaved as punishment for Thursday night's escapades. Too funny.

Also, I found out that I did not make it into the cast of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Musical (Blog). I was a bit sad, but no worries. It's Australia. There's plenty of opportunities I'll be able to take part in without rehearsal, as much fun as it would have been to be in that cast.
