April 17th
So, after a lovely three hour sleep on the beach, I woke up and got on with my day. Bernie slept a little longer, but I met Becca and Vilde for breakfast. I liked this place's tip jar.

We got our accommodation straightened out for the night and then decided to go parasailing. It was quite fun. I hadn't done it since I was younger with my family, so it was cool to do it again, especially with the beautiful tropical islands all around. Becca and I went together.

One of the guys working on the boat (in the picture helping me and Becca into our harnesses) had his 18th birthday today and he really enjoyed having four young ladies on his boat for it. We took a ton of pictures with him, on our cameras and his. Too funny.
After parasailing, we were already in our bathing suits, so we just chilled at the pool of the resort we were not staying at. It was gorgeous.

There was a little wedding reception going on next to the pool. Beautiful place to have one.
After the pool, we went back to meet up with Hilde, who was in Airlie Beach too with her tour. Hilde had also met Dulce, who Bernie and Becca and I knew from Surf Camp back when we all first met, and we ate with all of them at a nearby restaurant. Someone probably ordered nachos. I think I had pasta.
Dinner was delicious, and afterward we decided to go hit the town for the evening. We drank some of that bottle of rum liqueur I bought back in Bundaberg. We started at the beer garden of the place we were staying at and then went back to the place we ate dinner at, which transformed into a bar after a certain hour. It was entertaining enough. Bernie and I decided to leave and go to a place called Mama Africa's that we had read about in Cam's Lonely Planet book and had heard stories about from a bunch of other people. It had very nice decorations, but sadly my pictures were too blurry.
Eventually I got home and went to sleep. It was a wild evening.
